"During my site visits this week to the Wainiha and HA'ena area, our isolated residents have expressed challenges on receiving updated information because of the lack of internet connectivity," said Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. "We will be offering important information for our community members so they are connected with the rest of the island, have the resources they need, and remain safe." Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr., the County of Kauai, state, federal, and community partners will give an update on emergency relief efforts, status on infrastructure in and around the community, and information on upcoming recovery plans and available resources. Community meetings for other parts of the island will be scheduled and announced in the upcoming days.
