2018 VOTER REGISTRATION NOTIFICATION MAILING
Lihu`e, Kauai — The Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division will be mailing
voter registration notifications to voters beginning on Friday, April 20, 2018.
Supplemental mailings will be completed over the next few months.
The majority of voters will receive a Notice of Voter Registration postcard printed on
yellow cardstock. Also known as the "Yellow Card," this notice provides voter specific
and general information about the upcoming Primary and General Elections on
August 11 and November 6, 2018, respectively.
A small number of voters who completed the United States Postal Service (LISPS)
Change of Address process will receive similar information in a letter and Notice of
Voter Registration and Information Update form printed on blue paper.
Voters who do not receive a notification by mid -May 2018 should contact the Elections
Division at 241-4800.
Voters with a Hawaii driver's license (HDL) or Hawaii State identification card
(HSID) can check and update their registration information using the online voter
registration (OLVR) system at htt13:Helections.hawaii.gov/. Individuals with a HDL
or HSID who wish to register to vote for the first-time can also use the OLVR system.
Voter Registration and Permanent Absentee applications can also be download at
http://elections.hawaii. ov/. Paper applications must be mailed or hand -delivered to
the Elections Division at 4386 Rice Street, Lihu`e, Hawaii 96766.
Anyone receiving a voter notification addressed to someone unknown is asked to place
it back in the mail. The USPS will return the misaddressed notification to the
Elections Division and it will be used to update the corresponding voter's registration
record.
