Kilauea mobile eWaste recycling event set for Sunday
The County of Kaua'i Recycling Office is announcing a free electronic waste recycling
event for residents and businesses set for Sunday, May 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Anaina
Hou Community Park behind Kaua'i Mini Golf in Kilauea.
Acceptable electronic waste includes computers and accessories, televisions, printers,
office equipment, audio and video equipment, and handheld devices.
Please call Resource Recovery Solutions at 245-6919 if you have a large load, or if you
have large industrial items that require special packaging so they can properly accommodate
you.
These mobile collection services will continue in Kilauea on the last Sunday of all odd
numbered months.
The public is also reminded that Puhi Metals Recycling Center accepts electronic waste
Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All brands of eWaste are accepted from
residents and businesses free of charge with no quantity limits. Puhi Metals is located at 3951
Puhi Road, about a mile from the intersection of Kaumuali'i Highway.
