Mayor �g OF Managing Director s COUNTY OF KAUA'I DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION News Release For Immediate Release: June 14, 2018 LENNY RAPOZO, DIRECTOR Tel (808) 241-4460 Fax (808) 241-5126 Youth football camp set for June 20 LIHU`E — The Department of Parks and Recreation and University of Hawai'i football Head Coach Nick Rolovich, along with his staff, will host a free youth football camp set for Wednesday, June 20, at Vidinha Stadium. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to noon, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. at the main entrance. Walk-in registration will also be accepted on the day of the event. The camp is geared towards youngsters from 5 years old to eighth grade. In order to take part in the event, participants/parents will need to download the waiver form, which can be accessed online at www.kauai.gov/summerprograms, and bring the completed form to the camp. The camp will focus on offensive and defensive techniques to provide participants with exposure to both facets of the game. No prior experience is needed. Camp participants are asked to wear athletic shorts, athletic shoes, and a shirt. Football equipment, such as helmet and pads, are not needed. It is strongly recommended that parents apply sunscreen on their children prior to dropping them off at the event. If an ASL interpreter, materials in an alternate format, or other auxiliary aid support, or an interpreter for a language other than English is required for a child to participate in the camp, please contact Tyra at 241-4468 or send an email to recadm kauai.gov prior to the event.
