Wailua Homesteads Park siren to be included in monthly test
LIHU'E —The Kaua'i Emergency Management Agency would like to advise the public that
the Wailua Homesteads Park outdoor warning siren will be included in the statewide monthly
siren test on Monday, July 2.
Residents, businesses, and visitors in the area will likely hear the siren during the 11:45
a.m. test.
"I would like to thank our KEMA team, Hawai'i Emergency Management Agency (HI-
EMA), and our county partners for their work in repairing and reactivating this siren," said Mayor
Bernard Carvalho Jr. "Mahalo to the public for your patience, as this siren is just one of the many
ways residents, businesses, and visitors can be prepared if a disaster occurs."
