Kaohelaulii Information and Education Specialist Office: (808) 245-5461 Mobile: (808) 755-5432 Email: ikaohelaulii(@kauaiwater.ore Water service shutdown scheduled for 10 a.m. today for customers located on a portion of Kuhio Highway in Haena HAENA-The Department of Water (DOW) has announced a water service shutdown for customers located along a portion of Kuhio Highway in Haena; from Manoa Stream to Ke'e Beach, including all private connecting roads at approximately 10 a.m. today, Aug. 23rd, until further notice. Water service is being turned off in the selected area to prevent possible damage to the system in preparation for the expected severe weather conditions. Customers may experience water service disruption prior to the announced time and should prepare accordingly. All residents should prepare for possible water service disruption and have their recommended drinking water supply storage of 1 gallon, per person, per day for at least 14 days. For additional water emergency preparedness guidelines, please visit www.kauaiwater.org. An update will be provided as new information becomes available. All residents are urged to sign up for BlackBoard Connect CTY notification service to receive emergency weather updates and notices about DOW water services.
