Maluhia Road to close for community clean-up, July 14
KOLOA — The public is advised that Maluhia Road, from Kaumuali'i Highway to Ala
Kino'iki Road junction, will be closed on Saturday, July 14, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a
community clean-up.
During the road closure, traffic will be diverted to Piko, Oma`o, and Koloa roads.
Motorists should allow for extra travel time and follow the speed limits and all traffic signs.
The road closure will allow community groups to conduct their annual cleanup, "Gateway
to the South Shore," in preparation for the Koloa Plantation Days. In addition, the County of
Kauai Roads Division will be present for roadside maintenance work.
The Tree Tunnel beautification project is spearheaded by the Po`ipu Beach Resort
Association (PBRA) in partnership with various community organizations.
