Yoshioka July 6, 2018 (808) 241-4800 elections@kauai.gov 2018 Primary Election Voter Registration Deadline and Drive-Thru Voter Registration Services Lihu`e, Kauai — The Elections Division of the Office of the County Clerk is reminding the public that the last day to register to vote for the 2018 Primary Election is Thursday, July 12, 2018. To be eligible to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Hawaii, and at least 18 years old. Individuals who are 16 years of age can pre -register but are not eligible to vote until age 18. Voter registration forms are available online at http://elections.hawaii.gov/ and at: • U.S. Post Offices, • Public Libraries, • Yellow Pages, and • Most State Agencies. Individuals possessing a Hawaii Driver's License or Hawaii State Identification Card can also register online at http:Helections.hawaii.gov/. The Elections Division is also offering drive-thru voter registration services between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on July 11 and July 12, 2018 in the parking area immediately behind the Historic County Annex Building. Signs will be posted on `Umi Street and `Eiwa Street to direct individuals to the designated service area. Completed voter registration forms must be received by the Elections Division by 4:30 p.m. on July 12, 2018. If mailed, voter registration forms must be postmarked on or before July 12, 2018. Online voter registrations must be completed by 4:30 p.m. on July 12, 2018. The Primary Election is on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
