Kaohelaulii Information and Education Specialist Office: (808) 245-5461 Mobile: (808) 755-5432 Email: ikaohelaulii(@kauaiwater.ore 8 A.M., August 29, DOW Update: Potable water access available in Wainiha, water service outage on Powerhouse Road and conservation notice continues for Wainiha residents WAINIHA - The Department of Water (DOW) is providing access to potable water for Wainiha residents from two hydrant connections fitted with faucets, located at the intersection of Powerhouse Road and Kuhi'o Highway in Wainiha. Additionally, a trailer -mounted water tank containing potable water is also available to residents and is stationed at the Hanalei Colony Resort's parking lot; located at 5-7130 Kuhi'6 Highway in Hanalei. Customers should bring their own water containers to fill up. DOW personnel have begun conducting water system assessments in Wainiha this morning. Initial investigations confirmed that the water service outage is currently affecting customers located on Powerhouse Road in Wainiha, however all Wainiha residents are asked to continue water conservation measures until further notice.
