Immediate water conservation notice issued for Haena customers
HAENA— The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an immediate water conservation notice for all
Ha'ena customers, until further notice, due to the recent damage to the hydrant and system in the area
that has affected water tank levels. Customers are urged to limit water use to essential uses only; such as
drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes, in order to avoid a full water service outage in the system.
DOW crews have isolated the damaged hydrant from the system in order to conduct repairs and begin
restoring water tank levels. As water tank levels rise, service connections may begin to experience
normal water service flow, however, customers are advised to continue water conservation measures
until DOW has officially lifted the conservation notice.
Conservation measures also include turning off appliances or fixtures that automatically draw water such
as ice machines and outdoor irrigation systems.
