Yoshioka October 15, 2018 (808) 241-4800 elections@kauai.gov 2018 GENERAL ELECTION ABSENTEE BALLOT MAILING Lihu`e, Kauai — The Elections Division of the Office of the County Clerk mailed ballots to approximately 14,000 absentee mail voters over the weekend. Absentee mail voters should begin receiving their ballots beginning on Monday, October 15, 2018. Absentee mail voters who do not receive a ballot by October 22, 2018 should contact the Elections Division at 241-4800. The deadline to apply for an absentee mail ballot is 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Absentee ballot applications must be received by the Elections Division by October 30, 2018 to be valid. To be counted, a voted absentee mail ballot must be received by the Elections Division no later than 6:00 p.m. on General Election Day, Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
