7:20 a.m., October 30, Update: Flash Flood Warning canceled for Kauai;
Flash Flood Watch remains in effect
The National Weather Service has canceled the Flash Flood Warning for Kaua'i, and the
Flash Flood Watch for the island remains in effect through this evening.
Kuhib Highway in the vicinity of the Hanalei Bridge is open in both directions.
Ponding, low visibility and other hazardous driving conditions are expected. If you must
drive, please do so with extreme caution.
Officials are announcing the following updates.
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Hanalei Elementary School will be closed today, Oct. 30. For students attending Kapa`a
Middle School and Kapa`a High School who reside in Hanalei, Wainiha and Ha'ena, bus services
will not be operating.
ROAD CLOSURES
State DOT announces that the Kuhi6 Highway convoy, between Waikoko and Wainiha, is
running on the normal Monday to Saturday schedule as long as weather conditions allow.

POWER OUTAGES
Kaua'i Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC) reports that less than 70 customers throughout
the island have been affected. KIUC is currently responding.

Kauai police 911 unless you have an emergency.
