RSVP Advisory Council members gather gifts for veterans
LIHU`E — Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Advisory (RSVP) Council members
gathered gift bags that were delivered to homebound veterans in appreciation for their sacrifice
and service in time for Veterans Day.
These gifts were presented to the Agency on Elderly Affairs Information & Referral staff
and representatives of the Kaua'i Veterans Council on Friday, Nov. 9. The gift bags included a
gift card, a letter of appreciation from the Advisory Council, AEA and RSVP info brochures, a
RSVP lunch tote, and an AEA plastic portfolio protector.
The gifts were purchased thanks to a donation from the RSVP Advisory Council and
through efforts of a collection drive held during the month of September as part of the
Corporation for National and Community Service September 11t" National Day of Service and
Remembrance.
Kaua'i RSVP is a SeniorCorps program of the Corporation for National and Community
Service and is sponsored by the County of Kauai Agency on Elderly Affairs.
