Rescuers search for missing woman in waters off Queen's Bath
PRINCEVILLE — Rescuers are searching for a 23-year-old California woman in waters
off Queen's Bath in Princeville.
Her identity has not yet been released.
According to a preliminary report, the woman was attempting to climb the rocks near the
area known as Queen's Bath in Princeville, when a wave came up and swept her out to sea.
Bystanders reported last seeing her unresponsive in the water.
Hanalei firefighters, Rescue 3 aboard Air 1, and lifeguards on Jet Ski were dispatched to
the scene shortly before noon on Wednesday. Kauai police also joined the search along with
the U.S. Coast Guard. But so far there has been no sign of the victim.

the Queen's Bath trailhead has been closed since last week.
