RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF
COUNCILMEMBER JOEY MANAHAN,HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL,
TO SERVE ON THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020-202 1
WHEREAS,at its meeting on September 28,2020,the HSAC Executive
Committee was informed that Council Chair Ikaika Anderson,Honolulu City
Council,resigned from office effective September 23,2020;and
WHEREAS,also at its meeting on September 28,2020,the HSAC
Executive Committee approved the nomination of Councilmember Joey Manahan,
Honolulu City Council,to replace Council Chair Ikaika Anderson,Honolulu City
Council,on the National Association of Counties (NACo)Board of Directors for the
remainder of the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 term;and
WHEREAS,the HSAC Bylaws require that each council act on the proposed
nomination for NACo Director;now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA’I,
STATE OF HAWAI’I,that it hereby approves the nomination of Councilmember Joey
Manahan,Honolulu City Council,to serve on the NACo Board of Directors for Fiscal
Year 2020-2021.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED,that a certified copy of this Resolution shall be
transmitted to the HSAC Executive Committee.

Cr.No.20-00024-DKW (United States District Court),and therefore will be noted as
