Kaohelaulii Information and Education Specialist Office: (808) 245-5461 Mobile: (808) 755-5432 Email: ikaohelaulii(@kauaiwater.o Water conservation request issued for Wainiha, Haena and Hanalei until further notice WAINIHA — The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an immediate water conservation notice for all customers in Wainiha, Haena and Hanalei until further notice, due to an electrical power outage affecting the well pumps and systems in the area. Customers are asked to limit water use to essential uses only in order to avoid a full water outage. Essential water uses includes cooking, bathing and sanitation purposes. Water conservation measures include refraining from car washing, turning off fixtures that automatically draw water; including outdoor irrigation systems, and using water wisely both indoors and outdoors.
