Kaohelaulii Information & Education Specialist Phone: 808- 245-5461 Mobile: 808-755-5432 Email: jkaohelaulii@kauaiwater.or Water services restored to customers in Kapa'a Partial one lane road closure remains in place on Kuamo'o Road in Kapa'a (5:25 p.m.) KAPA'A — The Department of Water (DOW) has restored water services to all customers located on a portion of Kuamo'o Road; from Pa'ako Street to Opaeka'a Road, including customers located on Lihau Street, Aleo Street, Kuhoho Street Pa'ako Street, Iliki Street, Molo Street, Alahele Street and Hie Street in Kapa'a as of approximately 5:25 p.m. this evening. DOW crews have completed the emergency repairs to the damaged 8-inch distribution line and customers may now resume normal water use. Motorists are advised that the partial one -lane road closure will remain in place along Kuamo'o Road; between Pa'ako Street and Opaeka'a Road in Kapa'a for approximately 2 hours, as DOW crews continue work on additional repairs. Motorists are advised to please proceed with caution near the worksite and adhere to traffic control and speed limit signs in the area. Customers are advised that when the water mainline is turned back on, air and or existing sediment may become mixed into the water causing it to appear white or discolored, this is normal and if it occurs, customers may flush water out from an outside hose bib until water is clear.
