CONTRADES, ACTING CHIEF Tel (808) 241-1600 Fax (808) 241-1604 Two men in custody following police pursuit KAPA`A — Two men who attempted to evade police are in custody following an incident that occurred Tuesday afternoon at St. Catherine's School in Kapa`a. No injuries were reported. The names of the two men have not yet been released. Shortly before 2 p.m., police were dispatched to St. Catherine's School where it was reported that two men had allegedly threatened a woman with a gun. School officials immediately placed the school on a lock down and contacted parents. According to witness reports, the men fled the scene in a white Toyota Tacoma, and then drove down Kawaihau Road. They were spotted near Lihi Park, then pursued by police up Olohena Road before abandoning their vehicle at Waipouli Road. Police located and apprehended both suspects in areas near Waipouli Road. The lock down of the school has since been lifted. Police continue to investigate this incident.
