CONTRADES, ACTING CHIEF Tel (808) 241-1600 Fax (808) 241-1604 K-PAL announces Kapa`a, Lihu`e, Waimea wrestling registration The Kauai Police Activities League (K-PAL) is accepting registrations for its Lihu`e, Kapa`a, and Waimea wrestling programs. The Kapa`a wrestling program is accepting registrations for youth kindergarten through twelfth grade. Practices are tentatively set for Mondays and Wednesdays at the K-PAL Youth Center in Kapa`a. On these days, high school youth grades nine through 12 will practice from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and youth kindergarten through eighth grade will practice from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The Lihu`e wrestling program is accepting registrations for youth grades two through 12. Lihu`e practices are tentatively set for Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Kauai High School Cafeteria, from 4 to 6 p.m. Availability is limited to 30 participants. The Waimea wrestling program is accepting registrations for youth kindergarten through twelfth grade. Waimea practices are tentatively set for Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the West Side Wrestling Club facility located at Waimea Baptist Church. All practices are anticipated to begin in March, with the first tournament for K-PAL wrestling tentatively scheduled for April 12, 2019. Registrations are being accepted online at www.kauaipal.org, and space may be limited. The fee to register is $25; however, exceptions may be granted for those with meal eligibility from the state Department of Education. For more information on the K-PAL Kapa`a, LThu`e, and Waimea wrestling programs, or to request an ASL interpreter, materials in an alternate format, or other auxiliary aid support, or an interpreter for a language other than English, please contact Sgt.
