DAHILIG, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF News Release For Immediate Release: March 12, 2019 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS LYLE TABATA, DEPUTY COUNTY ENGINEER Tel (808) 241-4992 Fax (808) 241-6604 Striping work at Po`ipu Beach parking lot to take place March 25 The Department of Public Works Division of Solid Waste is announcing that striping work will take place at the Kauai Recycles Drop bin area at the Po`ipu Beach parking lot on March 25. During this time, the recycling bins will be removed and the area blocked off, and bins will be unavailable for use starting from 7 a.m. on March 25 to 7 a.m. on March 26. The striping process should take 24 hours to complete and dry. Residents are encouraged to hold on to their recyclables until the bins are returned or visit the Kauai Recycles drop bins behind the old Kmart building in Lliu`e or near the Lawa`i post office. As a reminder, the Kauai Recycles Drop bins are for residential use only. Businesses can drop off their recycling free of charge at Garden Isle Disposal, Inc. located at 2666 Niumalu Rd. in Lliu`e Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and is closed for lunch from 11 a.m. to noon; and is open on Saturday, from 7 to 11 a.m. For questions or concerns, please contact Keola Aki at 241-4195.
