DAHILIG, MANAGING DIRECTOR os News Release For Immediate Release: May 14, 2019 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS LYLE TABATA, DEPUTY COUNTY ENGINEER Tel (808) 241-4992 Fax (808) 241-6604 Hanapepe Bridge on Hanapepe Road to close for waterline work from May 28 to Aug. 31 Hanapepe — Hanapepe Bridge on Hanapepe Road will be closed for waterline work from May 28 to Aug. 31, weather permitting. Access will be limited to pedestrians and bicyclists. The work to be performed will be for the Kauai Department of Water and will include the installation of a new waterline, walkway grating, curbs, pipe supports, water line jackets, sidewalks and waterline connections. A detour route is attached to facilitate vehicular traffic within the area. Vehicles westbound may take routes through Hana Road and Hanapepe Road, while vehicles eastbound may take detour routes through Pu`olo Road and Hanapepe Road.
