Police recover body at Lumaha`i Beach
LUMAHA`I — Kaua`i police recovered the body of a man found dead Wednesday morning
in a remote area of Lumaha`i Beach, on the North Shore.
Police do not suspect foul play in the cause of his death.
The man has been preliminarily identified as someone with no permanent address who
was known to live along the beach at Lumaha`i.
According to witness reports, community members had not seen the man in a while so
on Wednesday they went to check on him at his known campsite along Lumaha`i Beach. There,
at approximately 8:30 a.m., he was discovered dead.
The man's name is currently being withheld pending an autopsy to confirm his identity,
along with the cause of his death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
