The Hanapepe Heights neighborhood includes Moi Road, Kane Road, Ali`i Road, Eleu Road, Mokihana Road, Koko Road and AN Road. The smoke testing performed in Waimea on Monday, June 3, was performed faster than anticipated. This allows the Division to perform additional smoke testing on its sewer collection system. Smoke testing uses a non -toxic smoke and is helpful in identifying areas where infiltration/inflow (storm water entering the sewer main) is occurring. The tests will consist of approximately 20 minutes of work at each manhole in the area. Traffic control, using flaggers, will be implemented in the work areas. Motorists should drive with caution, expect delays, and adjust their travel times as needed.
