Road closures, modified bus schedule announced for Historic Koloa
Plantation Days Parade on July 27
KOLOA — The annual Historic Koloa Plantation Days Parade is scheduled for this
Saturday, July 27, at 10 a.m.
To accommodate the event, the Kauai Police Department will close off all streets along
the parade route from 9 a.m., until the conclusion of the parade at approximately 1 p.m.
Road closures will include:
• Po`ipu Road (from the old cane haul road near Kiahuna Golf Course to Koloa
Road);
• Koloa Road (from Ala Kalanikaumaka to Weliweli Road); and
• Maluhia Road (from Koloa Road to Ala Kinoiki).
Those wishing to access Po`ipu and Koloa towns during that time may do so via Wailaau
Road or Ala Kinoiki, and Ala Kalanikaumaka.
Motorists should allow additional time to get to their destinations as traffic delays are
expected. Officers will be manning all road closures.

Additionally, the public is advised of modifications to the Kauai Bus schedule that will be
in effect on Saturday, July 27, to accommodate the parade.
The Koloa Shuttle, Route 30, will not be in service between 9:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. for
the following stops:
• Koloa Telephone Exchange;
• KOloa Neighborhood Center;
• Koloa Post Office;

• KOloa School;
• Kukui`ula Store; and
• Koloa Ball Park.
The Kauai Bus is scheduled to resume normal operations on the 1:15 p.m. Route
