Industry Day set for Oct. 23
The Federal Emergency Management Agency in partnership with the County of Kauai
will be hosting Industry Day at the Kauai Emergency Management Agency on Oct. 23 from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m.
"FEMA is reaching out to local and small businesses who may be interested in assisting
before, during and after disasters," said KEMA Administrator Elton Ushio. "This event will help
Kauai business to be better prepared to work with FEMA, as well as state and local government
partners, creating a win -win situation for businesses and whole -community emergency
management."
Speakers at this event include representatives from FEMA, KEMA, the Office of
Economic Development, and the Kauai Chamber of Commerce.
Registration is free; however, registration is required. Interested businesses may email
csakai(a)kauai.gov to register.
