12:30 P.M., NOV. 17, UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning cancelled on Kauai;
Kuhio Highway near Hanalei Bridge reopens to one lane of alternating
traffic
The Flash Flood Warning for Kauai has been cancelled, according to the National
Weather Service.
Kuhib Highway in the vicinity of the Hanalei Bridge is now open to one lane of alternating
traffic. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and allow for extra travel time as traffic may
be slow -going.
While the National Weather Service has cancelled the Flash Flood Warning for Kauai, a
Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday evening. A Flash Flood Watch means that
conditions may develop that leads to flash flooding. Residents and visitors should monitor the
weather and be prepared to take action in the event that a Flash Flood Warning is issued.
