e) ACTIONS OF THE DIRECTOR:
1) DUKE’S CANOE CLUB: Approval of special request for temporary increase of
premises.
2) KAUAI ISLAND BREWING: Approval of special request for addition of 2
electronic coin operated dart boards to be located in upstairs gaming area, per
diagram submit. The Pac Man games currently in that location will be moved
downstairs to the left of the main entrance.
3) POIPU BEACH ATHLETIC CLUB: Approval of special request for temporary
decrease of premises during special event on April 27, 2019 from 1:00 p .m. to 6:00
p.m.
4) ROB’S GOOD TIMES GRILL: Approval of special request for temporary increase of
premises to include the cordoned off outside area fronting the establishment, per
diagram submitted, from 8:00 p.m. on April 5, 2019 to 2:00 a.m. on April 6, 2019.
5) JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF HAWAII: Approval of Application No. Free 2019-93
filed on April 1, 2019 by Junior Achievement of Hawaii for a Free One-Day Special
Dispenser Beer license on April 27, 2019 at the Poipu Beach Athletic Club located at
2290 Poipu Road, Kōloa, Kauai, Hawaii.
6) KAUAI BEACH RESORT: Approval of Application Nos. 2019-076 through 2019-
077 filed on March 29, 2019 by Team Filament dba Kauai Beach Resort for 3-day
Special Dispenser General license on April 1-3, 2019, and April 4, 2019 at 4331
Kauai Beach Drive, Līhu‘e, Kauai, Hawaii.

3. EXTENSION IN TIME TO EXERCISE LIQUOR LICENSE:
a) KAUAI CAFÉ: Request for extension in time for a period of 1-year to exercise
Application No. 2014-80 which was approved on April 3, 2014.
b) KAUAI BAR: Request for extension in time for a period of 1-year to exercise
Application No. 2015-31 which was approved on December 4, 2014.
c) KAUAI BEER COMPANY: Request for extension in time until August 31, 2019 to
exercise Application No. 2019-020 which was approved on November 1, 2019
4. VIOLATION REPORTS:
KAUAI PASTA LIHUE CORP.: Violation of Rule 3.12 Commission Orders
5. NEW LIQUOR LICENSE:
LAWAI MARKET: Application No. 2019-078 was filed on April 3, 2019 by Lāwa‘i
Valley Market dba Lāwa‘i Market for a New Retail Dealer General license at 3575
Lauoho Road, Lāwa‘i, Kauai, Hawaii. Deposited $450.

6. TRANSFER LIQUOR LICENSE:
TAPS & HOPS EATERY: Application No. 2019-079 was filed on April 11, 2019 for a
transfer of Restaurant General License No. 2G-066 from Choy Village Inc. dba Island
Palm Island Style Grill & Bar to Mee & Son Corp. dba Taps & Hops Eatery located at 4-
885 Kūhi‘ō Highway, Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii.
7. EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes 92-5(a)(4), the purpose of this executive session is to
consult with the board’s attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the board’s powers
duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities regarding the disposition of the following
hearing violations that occurred at the April 4, 2019 meeting:
a) SHERATON KAUAI RESORT LINK CAFÉ: Violation of HRS 281-31(s) Licenses,
classes.
b) SHERATON KAUAI RESORT (GARDEN): Violation of HRS 281-31(s) Licenses,
classes.
8. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION:
Ratify Commission’s actions taken in Executive Session

ADJOURNMENT:
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pursuant to Haw. Rev. Stat. ("H.R.S.") §92-7(a), the Commission
may, when deemed necessary, hold an executive session on any agenda item without written
public notice if the executive session was not anticipated in advance. Any such executive
session shall be held pursuant to H.R.S. §92-4 and shall be limited to those items described in
H.R.S. §92-5(a).
