Proclamation which in part suspended Hawai’i Revised Statute 92.The Kaua’i Fire Commission’s meeting on April 20,2020 will be closed to the public;however,the Commission will accept wriften testimony.Additionally, minutes of the meeting wifi be taken,and the open session minutes wifi be made available when possible. BUSINESS KFC 2020-10 Discussion and decision to set the salary for newly appointed Acting Fire Chief Solomon Kanoho at the maximum figure of $137,022 established by the Salary Commission in Resolution 2019-1 and to provide him with a County issued take home vehicle. An Equal Opportunity Employer EXECUTIVE SESSION ES KFC 2018-002 Pursuant to Hawai’i Revised Statutes §92-4 and §92-5 (a)and (2)and (4),the purpose of this Executive Session is for the Commission to discuss the hiring of a new Fire Chief and other related matters where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved,and to consult with its attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission’s powers,duties, privileges,immunities and liabilities as they may relate to this item. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION TO RATIFY THE ACTIONS TAKEN IN EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR ITEM ES KFC 20 18-002. NOTICE OF EXECUTIVE SESSION Pursuant to Hawai’i Revised Statutes,(“H.R.S.”)§92-7(a),the Commission may,when deemed necessary,hold an Executive Session on any agenda item without written public notice if the Executive Session was not anticipated in advance.Any such Executive Session shall be held pursuant to H.R.S.§92-4 and §92-9 and shall be limited to those items described in H.R.S.§92- 5(a).Discussions held in Executive Session are closed to the public.
