case of COVID-19 on Feb. 6
LĪHU‘E – The Hawai‘i State Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office reported one new
case of COVID-19 on Saturday, Feb.6.
Today’s case is an adult male resident whose source of infection is related to community
transmission. Although the case was diagnosed off-island, the timing of the travel is such that this case is
considered community-acquired.
All active cases are in isolation. Close contacts are being identified, directed to quarantine, and
offered testing.
Today’s case brings the number of active cases to two, with 211 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s
cumulative case count includes 179 confirmed locally, one probable, and 31 positive cases diagnosed
elsewhere, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.
