5 AM UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning for Kaua‘i extended through 8:15 a.m.; Kūhiō
Highway in the vicinity of Hanalei Bridge remains closed
The National Weather Service has extended a Flash Flood Warning for the island of Kaua‘i
through 8:15 a.m.
Kūhiō Highway in the vicinity of the Hanalei Bridge remains closed. Additionally, the northbound
lane of Kūhiō Highway at Kalihiwai Bridge is closed due to ponding.
Ponding, low visibility and other hazardous driving conditions are expected. If you must drive,
please do so with extreme caution.
A Flash Flood Warning means flash flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low-
lying areas. Do not cross fast-flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot.

police 911 unless you have an emergency.
