County announces holiday closures
LĪHU‘E – In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on
Monday, Jan. 18, along with the Kekaha Landfill, all refuse transfer stations, the Puhi Metals Recycling
Center, and all the neighborhood centers.
The Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools, which are generally closed on Mondays, will observe
the holiday on Tuesday, Jan. 19, and will resume regular hours on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
All the HI-5 bottle redemption centers will also be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.
The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holiday.
Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
