The KCSW invites students to participate and write a one-page essay about a woman who has inspired them. “Celebrating Women’s History Month enables students to explore how girls and women have changed history and contributed to success in education, politics, work, health and fashion,” said KCSW Vice Chair Regina Carvalho. ”Too often their contributions went unnoticed, but their achievements strengthened the success of where we are today.” Essays are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 22, by email to smuragin@kauai.gov. Winners will be selected by members of the KCSW and will receive a cash prize. For essay rules and entry forms, visit the committee’s website www.kauai.gov/kccsw.
