cases of COVID-19 on March 21
LĪHU‘E – The Hawai‘i State Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office reported two new
cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, March 21.
Sunday’s cases are male visitors. One case is related to mainland travel and the other is related
to inter-island travel.
All active cases are in isolation. Close contacts are being identified, directed to quarantine, and
offered testing.
Sunday’s cases bring the number of active cases to three, with 220 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s
case count totals have been adjusted to remove one previously reported confirmed case which was
determined to be a false positive.
Kaua‘i’s cumulative case count includes 187 confirmed locally, one probable, and 32 positive
cases diagnosed elsewhere, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.
