Mayor Kawakami to deliver State of the County Address via video in lieu of public
gathering
LĪHU‘E – Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami will deliver his third State of the County Address via video,
which will be uploaded to the County of Kaua‘i website and Facebook page at noon on Monday, March
15.
“A year into this pandemic, the efforts of our residents and our health-focused initiatives have
made Kaua‘i one of the safest places,” said Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami. “Because we are still in this
pandemic, our State of the County will again be virtual, and we continue to encourage everyone to
practice safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
