LĪHU‘E - Victor Aguilar, a 65-year-old Kalāheo man, was arrested today on a grand jury

The case began with a Hawai‘i State Department of Education investigation involving
alleged misuse of electronic devices issued to Mr. Aguilar by the DOE and the U.S. Army. The
Kaua‘i Police Department was notified of the DOE investigation’s initial findings; detectives later
obtained and executed search warrants for several DOE-issued electronic devices as well as
electronic storage devices and a cellphone from Mr. Aguilar’s residence.
Mr. Aguilar resigned his position as the JROTC Senior Army Instructor at Waimea High
