UPDATE: Officials announce updates to Kūhiō Highway closures on the North Shore Both lanes of Kūhiō Highway, on the Princeville-side of the Hanalei Bridge, remain closed due to a rockslide. Motorists should anticipate an extended closure of this portion of the highway until further notice. Kūhiō Highway, at mile marker 4.5 in the vicinity of Waikoko, is now open to one lane of alternating traffic. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday afternoon. A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that leads to flash flooding. Residents and visitors should monitor the weather and be prepared to take action in the event that a Flash Flood Warning is issued. For updates on road conditions and closures, please call 241-1725.
