DAHILIG, MANAGING DIRECTOR News Release For Immediate Release: March 25, 2021 COUNTY OF KAUA‘I DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TROY TANIGAWA, ACTING COUNTY ENGINEER (808) 241-4993 Road and lane closures for multiple sections of Kōloa Road scheduled from March 29 to April 1 KŌLOA – The Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC., are announcing that multiple sections of Kōloa Road are scheduled for lane closures from March 29 to April 1. In observance of the Good Friday holiday, there will be no work on April 2. Multiple sections of Kōloa Road will be under a single-lane closure for shoulder construction, pavement work, and striping operations from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastbound motorists from the West Side, Kalāheo, or Lāwa‘i are recommended to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Kōloa and Po‘ipū. As a reminder, Ōma‘o Road is a narrow residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph for the entire length of Ōma‘o Road. Through trucks are prohibited on Ōma‘o Road for the duration of this project.
