DAHILIG, MANAGING DIRECTOR News Release For Immediate Release: March 29, 2021 COUNTY OF KAUA‘I KAUA‘I EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY ELTON USHIO, ADMINISTRATOR (808) 241-1800 12 PM UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning canceled for Kaua‘i; Kūhiō Highway near Hanalei Hill to reopen 1:45 p.m., weather permitting The National Weather Service has canceled a Flash Flood Warning for Kaua‘i. With the cancelation of the warning, Kūhiō Highway near the Hanalei Hill is scheduled to reopen at its regularly scheduled time of 1:45 p.m. Motorists entering Hanalei should be aware that more inclement weather is expected today, which could cause additional closures to the highway with little notice. For updates on road conditions and closures, please call 241-1725. Please do not call Kaua‘i police 911 unless you have an emergency. For weather updates call the National Weather Service automated weather line at 245-6001, or visit the NWS website, www.weather.gov/hawaii.
