County announces holiday closures
LĪHU‘E – In observance of Prince Kūhiō Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Friday,
March 26, along with the following sites.
The Kekaha Landfill, all refuse transfer stations, the Puhi Metals Recycling Center, the HI-5
redemption center in Līhu‘e, the Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools, and all the neighborhood
centers will be closed in observance of the holiday.
As a reminder, the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) will be on-site for its
donation event at the Kaua‘i Resource Center (KRC) located at 3460 Ahukini Road in Līhu‘e from 8 a.m.
to 3 p.m on Friday, March 26. Additionally, the HI5 Redemption Centers in Kapa‘a and Kīlauea will be
open on Friday
The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.
The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holiday.
Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Monday, March 29.
