BLANE, CHIEF OF STAFF (808) 241-4900 Mobile vaccination services available for homebound individuals LĪHUʻE - The Kaua‘i District Health Office is now offering mobile vaccination services for homebound individuals. “We are happy to come to your home if you can’t get to a vaccine clinic,” said Dr. Janet Berreman, Kaua‘i District Health Officer. “If you know someone who needs this service, please call us.” Mobile vaccinations for homebound individuals will be provided on the first Tuesday of the month, beginning on June 1, 2021. Additional days/dates may be added if needed. To request a mobile vaccination, call the Kaua‘i District Health Office at 241-3495. Caregivers and healthcare providers may call on behalf of the homebound individual. The caller should be prepared to provide the following information: Patient name, telephone number, address, information about any prior vaccine doses, and allergy history. The Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine will be offered. Moderna or Pfizer can be arranged for individuals who already received the first dose of one of these vaccines. Meanwhile, appointments for everyone 12 and older remain available at hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies around the island seven days a week, with daytime and evening options.
