Fiscal Year 2021-2022 first installment real property tax deadline extended to Sept. 20
LĪHU‘E – The County of Kaua‘i has extended the deadline to pay for property taxes by 30 days, to
accommodate those who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The new deadline
to pay property taxes is Monday, Sept. 20, 2021.
Real property tax bills were mailed out to residents on July 20, 2021.
Payments can be made online at https://kauairpt.ehawaii.gov, by mail, in person, or at the drop
box located outside the Kapulē Building at the Līhu‘e Civic Center. Please make checks payable to the
Director of Finance. No appointments are necessary to visit Real Property Collections.
Failure to pay real property taxes in full by Sept. 20 will result in a 10% penalty, as well as 12%
interest per year.
