DAHILIG, MANAGING DIRECTOR News Release For Immediate Release: July 13, 2021 COUNTY OF KAUA‘I DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TROY TANIGAWA, ACTING COUNTY ENGINEER (808) 241-4993 Salvation Army ARC monthly donation event scheduled July 30 LĪHU‘E – The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) will be on-site at the Kaua‘i Resource Center (KRC) located at 3460 Ahukini Road in Līhu‘e from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 30. Residents, businesses, and other organizations can bring in unwanted or unneeded items for reuse, including clothing, small furniture, children’s toys, books, and shoes. Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition. Torn or stained clothing will be accepted. Please do not bring eWaste, chemicals, appliances, or broken items. We encourage the public to check with their local thrift stores to see if they are capable of taking donations before bringing items to the KRC. Due to health and safety concerns, heavy equipment in the area, and to reduce the chance of injury to customers unloading heavy items, the Salvation Army requests that the public remain in their vehicle while on-site. The ARC also offers pick-up services to thrift stores and businesses. Please call 241-4336 to schedule a new service.
