Mobile testing, vaccination vans to be deployed starting this week
LĪHUʻE – The County of Kaua‘i and Kaua‘i District Health Office are announcing that mobile
testing and vaccination vans are slated to begin this week.
A mobile testing van will be available for walk-ins, Wednesday to Sundays, starting on July 28,
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:
• Wednesdays at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center parking lot;
• Thursdays at the Kīlauea Neighborhood Center parking lot;
• Fridays at the Kalāheo Neighborhood Center parking lot;
• Saturdays at the Hanalei Neighborhood Center parking lot; and
• Sundays at the Kapa‘a Neighborhood Center parking lot.
A mobile vaccination van will be deployed starting Saturday, July 31, and will offer the Johnson
& Johnson and Moderna vaccines to adults 18 and over. Free shirts will also be given to those who
receive vaccinations from the mobile vaccination van.
The vaccination van will not have designated locations and will target gatherings, community
functions, and various places where people are gathered.
Businesses, communities, and individuals can make a request for a mobile vaccine by completing
a short survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CBQCWY7 or by calling the Kaua‘i District Health
Office on weekdays, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 241-3495. However, depending on the request,
accommodations may not be guaranteed.
If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, contact the
Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency at 808-241-1800 or KEMA@kauai.gov. Requests made as early
as possible will allow adequate time to fulfill your request. Upon request, this notice is available in
alternate formats such as large print, Braille, or electronic copy.
Most clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies in Kaua‘i are also accepting walk-ins for a free vaccine
without an appointment. For details, please visit kauai.gov/vaccine.
