BLANE, CHIEF OF STAFF (808) 241-4900 Free COVID-19 testing at Līhu‘e Pharmacy LĪHUʻE – Free drive-thru COVID-19 testing is now available seven days a week at Līhu‘e Pharmacy Group. The clinic is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 4491 Kolopa Street, behind State Farm. Appointments are highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. For an appointment, register online at PreventCOVIDHI.com or call (808) 635-4968. Photo ID is required. No insurance or physician’s order needed. The site offers PCR mid-turbinate testing. Results are expected to be provided the same day via email. “Mahalo to Līhu‘e Pharmacy, the Hawaiʻi Department of Health, and the National Kidney Foundation of Hawai‘i Consortium for providing this free drive-thru testing option,” said Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami. “Due to increased demand, the County’s testing center at the Convention Hall has been experiencing long wait times, especially in the morning. If you are experiencing symptoms, please avoid the Convention Hall site and get tested at one of the drive-thru options such as Līhu‘e Pharmacy, Wilcox, KVMH, or the Kapa‘a Longs. The drive-up sites allow you to be tested in a safe environment that limits exposure to other patients and staff.” A full list of testing options is posted at Kauai.gov/COVIDtest. ###
