Vaccines for keiki 5-11 available at additional Kaua‘i locations
LĪHU‘E – COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 5-11 are now available at Kaiser Permanente
Līhuʻe Clinic, Longs Pharmacy in Līhuʻe, Wilcox Medical Center, and the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial
Hospital (KVMH) in Waimea.
Kaua‘i health officials are urging parents to protect their children by getting them vaccinated as
soon as possible. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The vaccine is free; no
insurance is needed.
The Kaiser Permanente Līhuʻe Clinic will be open on the Veterans’ Day holiday, Nov. 11, for a
special keiki vaccine day. Walk-ins are accepted, or patients can book an appointment at:
https://healthy.kaiserpermanente.org/hawaii/health-wellness/coronavirus-information/vaccine-
appointments. If you cannot book your child’s appointment online, please call 808-246-5600 during
business hours. The Kaiser clinic is also open to ages 5 and older every weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.; closed from noon to 1 p.m.
Longs Pharmacy at Kukui Grove in Līhuʻe is now accepting appointments for ages 5 and older
seven days a week. The other Longs locations on Kaua‘i are offering vaccines to adults only. To make an

Wilcox Medical Center in Līhuʻe is accepting appointments for ages 5-11. The clinic will be open
Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon; Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 7
p.m.; and Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. Appointments are required for pediatric vaccinations at this

Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH) in Waimea is offering vaccines for ages 5-11 by walk-
in. No appointments are necessary at this location. The clinic is open Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 2 to 5
p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 2 to 5 p.m.; and Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 2 to 5 p.m.
The County will provide updates as additional locations become available.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the Pfizer pediatric vaccine
for ages 5-11 on Nov. 2, after it received authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on
Oct. 29.
