GOBLE, CHIEF (808) 241-4980 Officials advise no swimming at Kekaha Beach due to shark sighting KEKAHA – Ocean Safety Bureau officials are advising no swimming at Kekaha Beach until further notice due to a shark sighting. OSB officials report that a possible 8-to-10 foot shark was sighted chasing a diver to shore, near the area known as Intersections on Sunday afternoon. No injuries were reported. As a safety precaution, Ocean Safety officials have posted warning signs and will continue to monitor the area. Lifeguards will reassess the area on Monday. Updates will be provided when more information becomes available. For updates, please speak to a county lifeguard or call the Ocean Safety Bureau at 241-4984. ###
