A. PUBLIC TESTIMONY.
All public testimony for this Meeting will be taken at the beginning of the Meeting.
Each speaker shall have a total of three (3) minutes to speak on the items for
discussion listed below.
B. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION.
Members elected to the Kaua`i County Council for the term commencing
December 3, 2018 will conduct a meeting to discuss their Organizational Structure
for the upcoming 2018-2020 Council term. Items to be discussed are:
• Appointment of the Presiding Officer Pro Tem for the Organizational
Meeting.
• Discussion of the selection of the Council Chair and the Council Vice
Chair for the 2018-2020 Council term.
• Discussion of the standing Committees of the Council, the Committee
Chairs, the Committee Vice Chairs, and the Committee Members for the
2018-2020 Council term.
• Discussion of the Rules of the Council of the County of Kaua`i for the
Organization of Committees and the Transaction of Business.
C. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) §92-7(a),
the Council may, when deemed necessary, hold an Executive Session on any agenda
item without written public notice if the Executive Session was not anticipated in
advance. Any such Executive Session shall be held pursuant to HRS §92-4 and shall
be limited to those items described in HRS §92-5(a). (Confidential reports on file in
the County Attorney's Office and/or the County Clerk's Office. Discussions held in
Executive Session are closed to the public.)
