HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/14/2018 Public hearing minutes on BILL 2689 PUBLIC HEARING MARCH 14, 2018 A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua`i was called to order by Ross Kagawa, Chair, Public Works / Parks & Recreation Committee, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 1:32 p.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted: Honorable Arthur Brun Honorable Mason K. Chock Honorable Ross Kagawa Honorable Arryl Kaneshiro Honorable Derek S.K. Kawakami Honorable JoAnn A. Yukimura Honorable Mel Rapozo The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following: "Bill No. 2689 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23, SECTION 23-3.1, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PEDDLING AT COUNTY PARKS, PLAYGROUNDS, OTHER FACILITIES, AND BEACHES," which was ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua`i on February 7, 2018, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on February 16, 2018. The following communication was received for the record: 1. Welta, Cynthia, dated February 9, 2018 The hearing proceeded as follows: JADE K. FOUNTAIN-TANIGAWA, County Clerk: Committee Chair Kagawa, we have one (1) piece of written testimony, and no registered speakers. Committee Chair Kagawa: Thank you, Clerk. Is there anyone from the public wishing to speak on this? Seeing none, this public hearing is adjourned.
