APRIL 8, 2020
A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua`i was called to order by
Mason K. Chock, Chair, Planning Committee, on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at
8:48 a.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County
Building, Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted:

Honorable Luke A. Evslin (via remote technology)
Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i
Honorable Arryl Kaneshiro
Excused: Honorable Arthur Brun*
Honorable Ross Kagawa
JADE K. FOUNTAIN-TANIGAWA, County Clerk: Please note that
today's public hearings will be called to order pursuant to the Governor's
Supplementary Emergency Proclamation dated March 16, 2020.
The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following:
"Bill No. 2777 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
CHAPTER 8, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
DEFINITIONS (County of Kauai Planning Department, Applicant)
(ZA-2016-3),"
which was ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua`i on
March 11, 2020, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on March 18, 2020.
The following communication was received for the record:
1. Ono, Karen on behalf of the Kauai Board of Realtors, dated April 6, 2020
The hearing proceeded as follows:
Committee Chair Chock: Thank you very much. I do believe we
received written testimony from the Kaua`i Board of Realtors. That is all that we
received. There is no one here in the audience for today.
There being no further testimony, the public hearing adjourned at 8:49 a.m.

*Beginning with the March 11, 2020 Council Meeting and until further notice,
Councilmember Arthur Brun will not be present due to U.S. v. Arthur Brun et al.,
Cr. No. 20-00024-DKW (United States District Court), and therefore will be noted as
excused (i.e., not present).
