HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/07/2021 Public hearing minutes on BILL 2824 PUBLIC HEARING July 7, 2021 A public hearing of the Council of the County of Kaua`i was called to order by Bill De Costa, Chair, Public Works & Veterans Services Committee, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 8:31 a.m., at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Suite 201, Historic County Building, Lihu`e, and the presence of the following was noted: Honorable Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. Honorable Felicia Cowden Honorable Bill DeCosta Honorable Luke A. Evslin (via remote technology) Honorable Arryl Kaneshiro Excused: Honorable Mason K. Chock Honorable KipuKai Kuali`i JADE K. FOUNTAIN-TANIGAWA, County Clerk: Please note that we will run today's meeting pursuant to the Governor's Supplementary Emergency Proclamations with the most recent relating to the Sunshine Law being his Twenty-First Supplementary Emergency Proclamation dated June 7, 2021. The Clerk read the notice of the public hearing on the following: "Bill No. 2824 — A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16, KAUAI COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO TRAFFIC CODE," which was ordered to print by the Council of the County of Kaua`i on June 2, 2021, and published in The Garden Island newspaper on June 14, 2021. The following communication was received for the record: 1. Imparato, Carl, dated July 5, 2021 (Testimony was received and no registered speakers requested to testify regarding this agenda item.) Committee Chair DeCosta: Let the record reflect that we received written testimony, but do not have anyone registered to testify this morning. Given that, this public hearing is now adjourned.
